xAI is seeking an Associate Site Operations Manager to oversee the data center technicians and ensure the smooth operation of its AI infrastructure. This role is crucial for maintaining peak efficiency and supporting the compute power behind xAI's mission. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise and a proactive approach to managing and scaling facilities effectively.Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing site operations, including power, cooling, networking, and hardware deployments.
• Leading and developing a team of Data Center Operations Technicians.
• Streamlining processes for hardware lifecycles, incident resolution, and inventory management.
• Coordinating between technicians, xAI’s AI specialists, and external vendors.
• Driving energy-efficient practices and sustainability efforts.
• Tracking and reporting key metrics to enhance site performance.
• Handling emergencies and resolving issues quickly.
• Optimizing operations through preventative maintenance and ticket workflows.
• Supporting expansion and standardizing best practices across sites.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in data center operations or similar critical environments.
• 3+ years of experience managing technical teams.
• Solid expertise in server hardware, cabling, and data center technologies.
• Proven ability to lead teams effectively in fast-paced, high-responsibility settings.
