Fiber Foreman

Job Description

xAI is seeking a Fiber Foreman to lead teams and oversee fiber optic systems at their Memphis data center. This role is based in Memphis, Tennessee, and requires approximately 20% travel. The Fiber Foreman will work under the guidance of the Project Manager and Superintendent, taking responsibility for datacenter installation projects and daily work assignments. They will provide on-the-job training and direction to employees, ensuring a safe and productive work environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing on the job training and direction for employees
• Ensuring a safe and productive work environment
• Troubleshooting, resolving, repairing and installing fiber optics systems
• Taking care of fiber splicing and rectifying fiber optic problem areas
• Formulating and maintaining system records and system designs

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience managing teams (preferably data center cabling technicians)
• 3+ years of direct data center experience installing and routing optical fiber in large scale Tier 3 or 4 facilities
• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
