Job Description
xAI is seeking a React Frontend Engineer to join the team responsible for the frontend services powering grok.com and its API. The engineer will be working in a small, highly motivated team focused on engineering excellence, operating with a flat organizational structure where all employees contribute directly to the company’s mission. The team is distributed across London and Palo Alto and focuses on implementing highly performant and delightful user interfaces, primarily using React with NextJS.
Role Involves:
- Implementing highly performant user interfaces.
- Working with React and NextJS.
- Collaborating with a distributed team across London and Palo Alto.
Requirements:
- Expert knowledge of TypeScript and React.
- Expert knowledge of Tailwind.
- Expert knowledge of best practices regarding performance, accessibility, and frontend security.
- Experience in advanced web technologies such as WebGL, WebSockets, WebAssembly, web workers, and PWAs (preferred).
- Experience in UI and UX design (preferred).
- Experience in implementing sophisticated CSS animations (preferred).
- Experience with Kubernetes (preferred).
