Job Description
xAI is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Rust/C++ Backend Engineer to join their team responsible for the backend services powering grok.com and its API. This role is based in Palo Alto, CA, and involves working on highly scalable and reliable services that efficiently process tens of thousands of queries per second.   • Designing, implementing, and maintaining reliable and horizontally scalable distributed systems.
  • Ensuring service observability and reliability.
  • Operating commonly used databases such as PostgreSQL, Clickhouse, and CockroachDB.
Requirements:
  • Expert knowledge of either Rust or C++.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining reliable and horizontally scalable distributed systems.
  • Knowledge of service observability and reliability best practices.
  • Experience in operating commonly used databases such as PostgreSQL, Clickhouse, and CockroachDB.
