Job Description

xAI is in search of a Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Lead. This role is crucial for designing, implementing, and overseeing the company's GRC framework. The GRC Lead will ensure that xAI operates within regulatory, ethical, and operational boundaries, fostering a culture of integrity and resilience. He/she will collaborate with cross-functional teams to safeguard mission-driven work in AI development and deployment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a robust governance framework.
  • Establish policies, procedures, and controls for ethical AI development and data usage.
  • Partner with leadership to integrate governance principles.
  • Identify, assess, and prioritize risks related to AI operations and cybersecurity.
  • Design and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and standards (e.g., GDPR/CCPA).
  • Develop and deliver GRC training programs.
  • Create and present reports on GRC performance to leadership.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Information Security, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in governance, risk management, or compliance.
  • Expertise in regulatory frameworks, data privacy, and cybersecurity.
  • Strong understanding of AI ethics and emerging technologies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
