Staff Software Engineer

Job Description

Jobber is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead and mentor teams of engineers, collaborating with Product and Design partners to tackle complex technical challenges. The Staff Software Engineer will allocate time to "Staff Dev Projects," including cross-team initiatives, work acceleration, and exploration of emerging technologies.Role involves:

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact features.
• Partnering with Product and Design teams to shape the product roadmap.
• Leading large-scale initiatives that drive innovation.
• Participating in code reviews and testing processes.
• Championing consistent engineering practices and reusable code solutions.
• Leading group discussions to drive consensus on solutions.
• Researching and implementing industry best practices.
• Communicating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Providing mentorship and guidance to team members.

Requirements:

• Expertise in developing scalable software solutions.
• Hands-on experience using tools like ChatGPT, Cursor, and Copilot.
• Proven leadership experience in guiding teams.
