Job Description
Jobber is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their team. The Staff Software Engineer will act as a technical champion and force multiplier, leading and mentoring teams of engineers while collaborating with Product and Design partners to tackle complex technical challenges. This role involves architecture, design, and hands-on coding, with a portion of time allocated to "Staff Dev Projects" focused on cross-team initiatives and innovation.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact features.
- Partnering with Product and Design teams to shape the product roadmap.
- Leading large-scale initiatives that drive innovation.
- Participating in code reviews and testing processes.
- Championing consistent engineering practices and reusable code solutions.
- Facilitating group discussions to solve complex customer problems.
- Researching and implementing industry best practices.
- Communicating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Providing mentorship and guidance to team members.
Requirements include:
- Expertise in developing scalable software solutions across multiple layers of the technology stack.
- Hands-on experience using tools like ChatGPT, Cursor, and Copilot.
- Proven leadership experience in guiding teams through complex projects.
- Exceptional proficiency in software design, architecture, and coding.
