Job Description
Bottomline is seeking an Implementation Engineer to join their Cyber Fraud Risk Management (CFRM) team. This role involves working on major projects, developing professional skills, and preventing fraud for Bottomline's customers. The Implementation Engineer will partner with customers to design and execute delivery on complex projects, implement and deploy solutions on-premises or in the cloud, and integrate them with customer systems. They will also resolve production issues, maintain a multitenant SaaS solution, and automate deployments. The role requires utilizing Agile software development practices and collaborating with other teams and customers.
- Partner virtually with Bottomline Customers to design and execute delivery on the most complex projects.
- Work with customers on implementation and deployment of the solution, deployment on their premises or cloud and integration with their systems.
- Ensure customer understands production support issue.
- Utilize Java, Spring technical background to manually resolve production issues when asked.
- Ongoing implementation and maintenance of multitenant SaaS solution; automation of deployments, monitoring, and troubleshooting errors.
- Utilize Agile software development procedures and practices, including daily stand-up meetings and test-driven development.
- Perform integration level testing of software components and systems to ensure a high degree of quality.
- Train, coach, and collaborate with others within the organization.
- Develop strong relationships with other teams and customers to build collaboration and identify potential opportunities to improve efficiencies and processes.
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ year's experience in Java development.
- 2+ years database experience - i.e., Oracle, PostgreSQL, MS SQL or DB2.
- At least 2 years experience working as either an implementation engineer or in a DevOps.
- One year developing with Hibernate (or similar) ORM tool.
- One year developing with a Spring framework.
- Working experience with Windows and Linux.
- Experience with JEE, XML, JDBC, JMX, and Web UI frameworks and application servers are a strong plus. Experience supporting web applications is an advantage.
- Experience with Terraform, Puppet, Jenkins is desired.
- Must be a problem solver. Ability to research, analyze and provide a solution to newly identified issues.
- Team focused with strong collaboration and communications skills.
- Emphasis on attention to detail and quality.
- Agile programming experience is an advantage.
- Able to be successful in a fast-paced environment that rewards hard work and self-motivation.
