Job Description
Alarm.com is seeking a Finance Operations Controller for its EnergyHub business in Brooklyn, NY. This role involves leading the accounting function, managing a corporate accounting team, and overseeing billing and collections. The Finance Operations Controller will partner with the EnergyHub executive team and collaborate with Alarm.com's finance and accounting teams.
  • Driving an efficient and accurate monthly close process and quarterly financial reporting cadence.
  • Ensuring all financial information is accurately reflected in the general ledger in compliance with GAAP.
  • Consulting with internal business partners on complex transactions.
  • Leading interim and year-end support for external and internal auditors.
  • Partnering with FP&A to provide insight into actual financial results.
  • Developing deal desk consistency and alleviate revenue recognition concerns for non-standard deal structures.
  • 15+ years of experience in technology-focused corporate and/or public accounting.
  • CPA qualification required.
  • Multiple ERP experience, as well as experience participating in an ERP implementation process.
  • Demonstrated ability to build for scale and complexity.
  • Good technical accounting and financial reporting skills: well-grounded in GAAP.
