Job Description
Alarm.com is looking for a Software Technical Lead to join their Platform team in Krakow. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in databases and SRE. This role involves supporting the backend infrastructure, responding to incidents, supporting deployments, analyzing systems for improvements, and introducing new technologies. The Software Lead will mentor engineers and participate in the entire project lifecycle.
  • Be a mentor to our growing engineering department.
  • Engage in the research, evaluation, and application of new technologies and methodologies to solve challenging problems.
  • Take part in the entire project life cycle, from requirements development to deployment.
  • Work hard and be flexible: we have quick development cycles, evolving requirements, and lots of cross-team collaboration.
  • Exercise good judgment. Know when to work quickly, and when to build a robust solution.
  • Bring your ideas! We want our engineers to collaborate on product development, not blindly build to a spec.
  • Be part of a team that helps support our core production operations and deployments.
  • Lead a small, self-sufficient team of engineers who are involved in support of our platform and production operations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related field or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years of professional software development experience
  • Experience leading and/or mentoring other engineers
  • Significant database design and development experience (SQL Server a plus)
  • Experience supporting a production system at scale
  • Expert object-oriented programming skills; C# and .NET a plus
  • Willingness to be on call to respond to incidents
  • Willingness to regularly support our production deployments + production maintenances, which can be outside of normal business hours
Alarm.com offers:
  • Long-term employment based on a permanent employment contract (CoE).
  • Attractive benefits package: including medical care, life insurance, sports package, annual budget for professional development ($2,000).
