Product Manager

Job Description

Alarm.com is seeking a Product Manager to contribute to the dynamic IoT space. The Product Manager will be responsible for developing innovative solutions for partners and over 7 million subscribers worldwide. The role requires a creative self-starter who can thrive in a team environment.Responsibilities include:

• Becoming an expert on Alarm.com's solution, the commercial market, and customers.
• Developing a vision for the future of the product and codifying it into specifications.
• Sharing the vision with stakeholders and developing buy-in.
• Working with various teams to make the vision a reality.
• Confirming that products meet specifications and working with the Beta team for external validation.
• Sharing information about products internally and externally.
• Developing marketing plans to maximize reach.
• Tracking and communicating progress.
• Working closely with the support team to ensure a great customer experience.
• Learning new things and honing product management skills.
• Taking ownership and ensuring tasks are completed to move development forward.

Requirements:

• Minimum B.S. or B.A. in an engineering discipline, computer science, math, physics, or related field
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• 1-3 years of experience
• Desire to work at the intersection of hardware and software
• History of taking initiative, tackling ambiguity, and self-directed learning
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
