Senior JavaScript Engineer (Remote, Italy)

Job Description

Nearform is seeking a Senior JavaScript Engineer to join their team. This is a permanent, full-time remote opportunity based in Italy. The Senior Engineer will be responsible for designing and building applications using JavaScript, supporting component design, development, and maintenance, and assisting with defining structured practices. They will also design and implement data storage solutions, optimize application performance, gather feedback from users and clients, and collaborate with client teams.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing & building applications using JavaScript
• Supporting component design, development and maintenance
• Assisting with defining structured practices
• Designing and implementing data storage solutions
• Optimising performance in applications
• Getting feedback from users and clients
• Assisting with the analysis of client requirements
• Working with and supporting Technical Leaders
• Collaborating with client teams

The ideal candidate will have:

• Significant experience delivering at a Senior Engineer level (6+ years)
• Practical experience in an agile environment
• Deep knowledge of JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks (Node.js and React)
• Deep understanding of versioning control tools (e.g., Git)
• Testing experience and familiarity with testing tools
• Practical experience with databases and cloud environments
• Experience with automation, CI, and CD
• Experience building software collaboratively
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Professional proficiency in English
