Technical Lead (Remote, Romania)

Job Description

Nearform is seeking a Technical Lead to join their team. This is a remote, permanent position based in Romania. The Technical Lead will be responsible for leading technology teams, translating client project requirements, and ensuring high-quality output within specified timeframes.

The Technical Lead will work directly with Nearform's clients on various projects, helping them translate business and technical requirements into software applications. They will collaborate with high-performing software teams distributed across different locations, and sometimes alongside client development teams.

Role Involves:

• Providing technical and line-management leadership to the development team
• Taking responsibility for the successful delivery of projects
• Identifying and resolving blockers
• Working directly with clients to translate requirements into technical briefs
• Shaping and defining architectural decisions
• Providing reports to client and Nearform leadership

Requirements:

• Experience working directly with customers and users
• Experience managing software engineering teams
• Experience developing high-quality software
• Deep understanding of agile ways of working
• Deep understanding of test-driven development and testing best practices
• Deep understanding of best practices and design patterns
• Deep understanding of open-source technologies and tools
• Deep understanding of version control tools, GIT in particular
• Understanding of cloud technologies
• Understanding of operational concerns
• Understanding of DevOps practices
• Drive to deliver outcomes for customers
• Empathy and people skills
