Salsify, a leader in Product Experience Management (PXM), is seeking a Backend Engineer - Ruby to join their growing team. The company helps brand manufacturers, distributors, and retailers collaborate to win on the digital shelf. Salsify's products aim to improve brand trust, amplify product differentiation, increase conversion rates, and speed time to market.

The Backend Engineer will innovate and improve Salsify's products, solve complex business and scalability problems, and help define the direction of the product. They will work across the entire Salsify technology ecosystem, scaling a demanding application while simplifying complex business processes.

Role Involves:

• Building and shipping production-grade software.
• Developing and launching new features.
• Collaborating with product managers and UX designers.
• Sharing expertise through tech talks and engineering affinity groups.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of commercial software development experience.
• Proficiency in one or more server-side languages (preferably Ruby).
• Experience building consumer-facing applications in a SaaS or product-based company.
• Experience with contemporary frameworks, build tools, and testing tools.
• Knowledge of building scalable and performant applications.
• Interest in exchanging ideas around building robust, secure, maintainable software.
• Comfort providing and receiving feedback on implementation ideas.
• Experience working as part of a distributed team.
