Job Description
GWI is seeking a Data Engineer to join their Data Engineering Department in Athens. The Data Engineer will play a key role in new initiatives around survey data, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to design and deliver tailored data solutions and build a modern data platform.
Role involves:
- Designing and implementing end-to-end data pipelines.
- Workflow orchestration, data modeling, transformation, and quality assurance.
- Collaborating with Data Engineers, Software Engineers, and PMs.
- Contributing to GWI’s goal of embedding consumer insights.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Data/Analytics Engineer.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Experience with cloud data stacks (e.g., BigQuery), workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow), data transformation tools (e.g., dbt), and data engineering engines (e.g., Apache Spark).
- Knowledge of software development best practices (Git, code reviews, testing, documentation).
- Understanding of CI/CD and infrastructure concepts.
- Knowledge of data governance practices.
- Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills.
