Golang Software Engineer

Job Description

Darktrace, a global leader in cyber security AI, is seeking a Golang Software Engineer to join its R&D team in Cambridge. The engineer will contribute to the development and improvement of Darktrace's products, working on a variety of projects with a diverse toolset. This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 2 days per week in the Cambridge office.

Role Involves:

• Rapid prototyping of new ideas to improve Darktrace’s services.
• Building and maintaining greenfield services.
• Researching and implementing features for the Cloud Security product.
• Investigating and furthering Darktrace's methodology in defending against cyber-attacks.

Requirements:

• Solution-focused mindset with analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Golang/Python programming.
• Understanding of writing code in a production environment.
• Ability to work autonomously and cooperatively within a team.
• Experience with microservice architectures and building monitoring/observability metrics.
• Understanding of cloud native landscapes (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Knowledge of containerized environments (Docker or Kubernetes) is beneficial.
