Job Description
Darktrace is seeking a Python / Cloud Software Engineer to join its R&D team in Cambridge. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and improvement of Darktrace's products, focusing on cloud security and integrations with providers like AWS, Azure, and Kubernetes. This role involves identifying client assets, their connections, and vulnerabilities to help clients understand and protect their cloud environments.

Role involves:
  • Contributing to rapid prototyping of new and innovative ideas.
  • Improving the performance of existing products and platforms.
  • Investigating and furthering Darktrace’s methodology in defending against cyber-attacks.

Requirements:
  • Solution-focused mindset with analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Python programming.
  • Understanding of writing code in a production environment.
  • Ability to lead features from conception to deployment (for senior engineers).
  • Comfortable working autonomously and cooperatively within a team.
  • Knowledge or interest in cyber-security / malware forensics.
  • Familiarity with Docker.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing environments (beneficial).
  • Experience with JavaScript, Rust, and C++ (beneficial).
