Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Description

Darktrace, a global leader in cyber security AI, is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join its R&D team in London. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and refining the backbone of Darktrace's products across various projects, utilizing a range of tools and technologies.

This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of two days per week in the London office. The Senior DevOps Engineer will be responsible for the development, management, configuration, and automation of systems and services within AWS and Azure environments. They will collaborate within agile teams, contributing their expertise to projects and fostering innovative ideas.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing, managing, configuring, and automating systems and services in AWS and Azure.
• Collaborating within agile teams to contribute expertise to projects.
• Prioritizing tasks to ensure seamless integration into organizational goals.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer with a background in building and supporting software applications.
• Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining on commercial cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, or similar).
• Experience in infrastructure provisioning tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Chef, AWS CloudFormation) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approaches.
• Experience in designing and implementing scalable systems capable of handling high loads.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Node.JS, Go) with a focus on automation and scripting.
• Strong Linux experience and understanding of core networking and security principles.
• Hands-on experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines for large-scale systems.
