Job Description
Darktrace is seeking a Systems Software Engineer (HPC) to manage and optimize NVIDIA GPU server and cloud environments. This is a hybrid role based in the Cambridge office, requiring attendance 2 days a week.The Systems Software Engineer will work with Darktrace researchers and software engineers to ensure optimal performance and availability for AI and HPC projects. The role involves maintaining and optimizing the Linux operating system, file systems, and software stack for machine learning projects, as well as setting up and configuring NVIDIA HGX servers and cloud infrastructure for GPU compute projects.Responsibilities include:- Monitoring server and application performance.
- Implementing and maintaining server security.
- Collaborating with network administrators and researchers.
- Working with the project manager for resource allocation.
- Collaborating with data scientists and machine learning engineers.
- Assisting in training team members.
- Developing multi-use tooling for HPC environments.
- Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience in system administration, HPC platforms, and GPU-based servers.
- Familiarity with AI and HPC provisioning and management.
- Experience with server virtualization and containerization.
- Strong knowledge of the Linux operating system.
- Strong knowledge of NVIDIA HGX server architectures and components.
- Strong knowledge of AWS or Azure Cloud environments.
- Experience with NVIDIA GPU technologies.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries.
- Experience with NAS servers.
- Experience with data version control systems.
