Job Description
Darktrace is seeking a Specialist Technical Author to join their team in Cambridge. The successful candidate will lead a technology transformation project, migrating Darktrace's technical content to a new Documentation as Code platform. This role involves working closely with the R&D, Design, and UX/UI Departments to understand the technology and create technical materials for customers, partners, and the wider Darktrace community. This is a hybrid role, requiring attendance in the Cambridge office 2 days a week.
- Leading the technology transformation project to migrate Darktrace technical materials.
- Designing and implementing content strategies using industry best-practices.
- Researching and implementing feedback systems for technical content.
- Technical document writing, editing, and proofreading.
- Curating content and liaising with translators for multi-language support.
- Reviewing documentation and providing feedback.
- Experience in technical authorship from software or scientific industries.
- Experience with technical authorship frameworks and docs-as-code platforms.
- Experience writing technical documents or long-form academic material.
- Capacity to work with a range of different skill levels.
