dbt Labs is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Cloud Config team, which is integral to the complex domains and integrations powering dbt Cloud. The company has experienced rapid growth, reaching over $100 million in ARR and serving over 5,000 customers. The role involves partnering with other Engineering Managers, Product Managers, and Designers to support a business-critical product surface area.

Responsibilities:

  • Build, lead, and coach a team of engineers.
  • Empower the team with business context and ownership of the roadmap.
  • Partner with Product and Design to create a long-term vision.
  • Coach engineers in product thinking, quality, and system design.
  • Work with peer managers to evolve organizational processes.
  • Address customer needs in partnership with Customer Support.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in people management with a product engineering team.
  • Experience leading teams through all parts of the product development lifecycle.
  • Experience in complex cloud-based workflows.
  • Knowledge of frontend architecture, API design, and developer experience.
  • Degree in Computer Science or similar.
