dbt Labs is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join their Orchestration team. This team manages critical services that power job scheduling and execution for dbt Cloud. The ideal candidate will have extensive frontend expertise and a passion for creating customer experiences.
The Senior Full Stack Engineer will be responsible for end-to-end development of innovative orchestration features, enhancements to the orchestration frontend, and working on complex systems utilizing Python, TypeScript, React, Go, Postgres, Redis, Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, and Datadog. They will collaborate with UX designers, PMs, and engineers across dbt Labs, participate in on-call and support rotations, and mentor other engineers.
Role Involves:
- Designing and developing innovative orchestration features end-to-end.
- Enhancing the orchestration frontend.
- Working on complex systems and technologies.
- Collaborating with UX designers, PMs, and engineers.
- Taking ownership of systems post-release through on-call and support rotations.
- Mentoring other engineers.
Requirements:
- Expertise in frontend development with Typescript and React.
- Strong knowledge of observability and debugging production issues.
- Systematic problem-solving approach and communication skills.
- Passion for upholding engineering best practices.
- Ability to balance speed of delivery with implementing reliable, secure, highly available services.
- Self-starter who can lead a group of engineers.
