Job Description

Stone Tech is seeking a Security Engineer III to join their Security Operations Center (SOC) team. The Security Engineer III will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to cybersecurity incidents, utilizing specialized tools for threat detection and mitigation. They will also contribute to the continuous improvement of service quality and alignment of expectations across involved areas.

• Investigating and responding to security alerts and incidents.
• Monitoring and operating security tools.
• Developing and maintaining procedures, playbooks, and monitoring dashboards.
• Participating in war rooms, reporting incidents to stakeholders.

• Capacity to collect security evidence, simulate scenarios, and respond to incidents effectively.
• Solid knowledge in networks, protocols, and information security.
• Familiarity with cryptography and its applications.
• Ability to interpret IETF RFC documents and apply security best practices.
• Knowledge in norms and frameworks like ISO 27000, ITIL, FIPS 140-2, CWE, CVSS, CVE and MITRE ATT&CK, besides experience in EDR and MDR.
• Experience with Linux and Windows servers, including Active Directory, IIS, DNS, SSL/TLS, WSUS and hardening.
• Basic understanding about certifications and compliance, like SOX, PCI, BACEN, NIST and LGPD.
• Domain of DNS and its functioning mechanisms.
• Knowledge about cybernetic threats, including reverse engineering, buffer overflow, shellcode, obfuscation, hijacking and process injection.
• Intermediate skills in programming and development.
• Intermediate experience in cloud platforms and security architectures in cloud.
• Knowledge in IDS/IPS solutions, firewalls, Web Gateways, e-mail gateways, WAF, antimalware, proxy, HIDS and NIDS.
