dbt Labs is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II, Backend to join their Enterprise Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining stable, scalable foundational services based on solid architectural principles. This role involves working on enhancing the enterprise-grade authentication and authorization platform, building reliable and secure experiences for both customer personas, and collaborating with various teams to deliver a great experience for dbt Cloud administrators and end users.
- Work on enhancing the enterprise-grade authentication and authorization platform.
- Build and maintain stable, scalable foundational services.
- Design and develop reliable, secure, highly available and delightful experiences.
- Collaborate with Product Management, UX designers, Security, and Customer Support.
- 8+ years of experience as a software engineer
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (computer science, computer engineering, etc.)
- Strong fundamentals in object-oriented programming.
- Experience designing and building API-driven applications using REST and/or gRPC and OAuth for API endpoints.
- Ability to balance speed of delivery with designing scalable, reusable components.
- Passion for design and code reviews.
- Highly motivated and able to work autonomously.
- Systematic problem-solving approach coupled with strong communication skills.
