Job Description
The Accounts Payable Manager role is at a company in Mumbai, India. The role involves ensuring the smooth operation of the clearance department and supervising employees to ensure vendor invoices are cleared accurately and on time. The Accounts Payable Manager will report to the CFO.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and communication of media conversions to Shared Services.
- Assist in process improvement projects and metrics.
- Develop and implement procedures for timely and accurate payment processing.
- Manage Media Clearance employees, including staffing and employee issues.
- Process vendor invoices for payment.
- Research agency questions regarding vendor discrepancies and special requests.
- Review agency summary reports to ensure timely clearances.
- Identify and research old items.
- Manage client and external audit processes.
- Provide enhanced customer service to external groups.
- Drive process improvements and efficiency in the media client billing function.
- Ensure processes operate within Sarbanes Oxley program and Standard Policy and Procedures.
- Assist in the design & improvement of a Helpdesk process.
- Interviewing and hiring of new employees.
- Provide valuable feedback to staff through annual performance appraisals and goal settings program.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- At least twelve years in AP function.
- Three to five years in a supervisory role.
- Three to five years in Media AP role.
- Experience with Project Management.
- Strong decision-making skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work onsite in an office environment with limited remote work alternatives.
