Groupon is seeking a Senior Frontend Developer to contribute to building and scaling user-facing solutions on its platform. What this role involves:

• Building and scaling user-facing solutions using Next.js, React, and GraphQL.
• Collaborating with product managers and backend engineers.
• Championing modern frontend practices, including AI-assisted coding and performance optimization.
• Contributing to a high-performance engineering culture through code reviews and mentoring.

What Groupon is looking for:

• Expertise in React, Next.js, and GraphQL.
• Strong hands-on experience with React and Next.js, including SSR and dynamic routing.
• Comfort working with GraphQL clients and schema-driven design.
• Active use of AI tools to boost productivity and code quality.
• Proven ability to take ownership of features and drive them to resolution.
• Team player with a builder mentality.
• 6+ years building production React apps; 2+ years with Next.js SSR.
• Deep understanding of Core Web Vitals and React concurrency.
• Fluent in GraphQL schema design and query/mutation optimization.
• Proven ownership of a customer-facing flow with ≥ 100k DAU.
• Habitual user of AI coding tools.
• Comfortable pushing to prod on Day 1 and troubleshooting in live traffic.
