Engineering Manager (Pass)

Job Description

Proton is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Proton Pass team, focusing on web, Android, and iOS applications. This role involves fostering innovation and elevating Proton Pass to become the market's leading open-source password manager. The Engineering Manager will report to the Business unit lead and collaborate with various teams within Proton.

Responsibilities include:

• Enhancing team efficiency by balancing speed, quality, and developer experience.
• Strategically analyzing challenges and encouraging iterative solutions.
• Ensuring transparent communication of priorities and context.
• Fostering team growth through personalized 1-on-1s and career advancement initiatives.
• Overseeing cross-team projects for seamless coordination.
• Collaborating with internal teams to align engineering efforts with business objectives.

Job requirements:

• Transitioned from a Senior Engineer or Tech Lead role.
• Experience managing individual contributors and navigating cross-team efforts.
• Proven track record in project management.
• Experience in leading release processes and delivering software at scale.
• Product mindset and effective communication skills.
• Comprehensive understanding of the application lifecycle.
• Familiarity with horizontal platforms or services.
• Eagerness to dive into the code when needed.
