Job Description
dbt Labs is seeking an Account Executive to manage their customer base throughout Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, and Tasmania. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and curious member of the growing Sales team, identifying new business with prospects and growth opportunities for clients. This role is based in Melbourne, Australia and is remote.

What This Role Involves:
  • Building, managing, and closing a pipeline of companies.
  • Managing and deepening the dbt Cloud footprint in existing accounts.
  • Engaging with technology partners and ecosystem service providers.
  • Leading and contributing to team projects that develop the sales process.
  • Working with product to build and maintain the dbt Cloud enterprise roadmap.
  • Focusing on building and managing pipeline generation.

Requirements:
  • 2+ years closing experience in technology sales, with a proven track record of exceeding annual targets.
  • Ability to understand complex technical concepts and develop them into a consultative sale.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and in-person communication skills.
  • Diligence and organizational skills to work long, intricate sales cycles.
  • Ability to operate in an ambiguous and fast-paced work environment.
  • A passion for being an inclusive teammate and involved member of the community.
  • Experience with SQL or willingness to learn.
