Job Description

dbt Labs is seeking a Sales Director to manage its majors customer base in the South Bay. The Sales Director will be responsible for identifying new business with prospects and growth opportunities for clients. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and curious member of the growing Sales team.

The Sales Director will report to the Sales Manager.

What this role involves:

  • Build, manage and close your own pipeline of companies
  • Manage, and deepen the dbt Cloud footprint in existing accounts
  • Engage with technology partners and ecosystem service providers
  • Lead and contribute to team projects that develop our sales process
  • Work with product to build and maintain the dbt Cloud enterprise roadmap

Requirements:

  • 6+ years closing experience in technology sales
  • Ability to understand complex technical concepts
  • Excellent verbal, written, and in-person communication skills
  • The diligence and organizational skills to work long, intricate sales cycles
  • Ability to operate in an ambiguous and fast-paced work environment
  • A passion for being an inclusive teammate and involved member of the community
  • Experience with SQL or willingness to learn
