Job Description
Pathward is seeking a SVP, BSA/AML Deputy Officer to assist in overseeing the Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Program. This role involves quality control reviews, monitoring BSA, USA Patriot Act, AML, OFAC, and Customer Identification Program compliance. The SVP will assist the Financial Intelligence Unit, keep management informed of emerging risks, and supervise assigned staff.

Role involves:
  • Assisting in developing and administering BSA/AML/OFAC compliance programs.
  • Conducting risk assessments, particularly for BaaS operations.
  • Staying updated on regulatory changes and adjusting policies.
  • Coordinating with auditors and examiners.
  • Collaborating with product, technology, and operations teams.
  • Mentoring junior compliance staff.
  • Managing BSA/AML rules and customer due diligence.
  • Developing reports for executive management and the Board of Directors.
  • Providing supervision to BSA/AML employees.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 15+ years of related experience in financial services.
  • 10+ years of experience as a BSA/AML Deputy Officer.
  • Experience managing large teams.
  • Experience with transaction monitoring systems like Actimize.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulations.
  • Successful Banking as a Service and pre-paid card experience preferred.
  • Strong decision-making and partnership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
