Staff Machine Learning Engineer - Growth

DoorDash is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to join their Growth team. This role is focused on developing cutting-edge ML models that power DoorDash's pricing, selection, affordability, and growth strategies. The ideal candidate will leverage data and machine learning infrastructure to build sophisticated ML systems and implement AI solutions for consumer pricing, restaurant selection expansion, promotions optimization, and marketplace growth.

What this role involves:

• Developing ML-driven systems to ensure affordable and fair pricing.
• Creating AI solutions to optimize deals and promotions.
• Partnering with engineering and product leaders to shape product roadmaps.
• Owning the complete modeling lifecycle from feature creation to deployment.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of industry experience in machine learning.
• M.S. or Ph.D. in a quantitative field.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong technical expertise in Python, Spark, and PyTorch.
• Experience with statistics, causal inference, multi-objective optimization, or deep learning (preferred).
