The ACLU seeks a Deputy Executive Director for its North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming Chapter, situated in Jackson, Wyoming. This position supports the Executive Director in managing the organization, fostering a positive organizational culture, and ensuring the effective implementation of program work aligned with the Chapter's strategic plan. The Deputy Director plays a crucial role in facilitating collaboration across departments and states to maximize programmatic impact.Responsibilities include strategic leadership, staff supervision, budget management, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies. The role also involves contributing to fundraising efforts and driving progress on the creation of an ACLU Wyoming affiliate. They will lead the Chapter’s ongoing culture work by building an effective and value-aligned organizational culture.
  • Leading the Chapter’s annual budget process
  • Supervising staff as assigned
  • Assisting with development and fundraising as assigned
  • Creating systems and structures to ensure work under the chapter-wide strategic plan is goal-oriented and implemented effectively
  • Overseeing compliance with Chapter and ACLU National organizational policies and relevant laws
  • Proven ability to manage and supervise professional staff
  • Superior organizational skills and experience in planning, tracking, and evaluating programmatic impact
