Job Description

Scalapay, a rapidly growing unicorn in the Buy Now Pay Later sector, is seeking a Mid-Level Frontend Engineer to join their team in Milan. The successful candidate will contribute to new product features, working in a hybrid environment with the flexibility of two days per week from home. Scalapay prides itself on its innovative payment solutions and a team-oriented culture.

The Frontend Engineer will develop intuitive user interfaces for web and mobile applications, used by millions of customers and retail partners across Europe. He will collaborate with Technical Leads and Full-Stack Developers to integrate frontend and backend components, ensuring high standards through design and code reviews.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop responsive and user-friendly web and mobile applications.
  • Collaborate with Technical Leads and Full-Stack Developers to integrate frontend and backend components.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues that arise during development.
  • Participate in design and code reviews to ensure high standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with our Product and Design teams

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of technical experience
  • A passion for creating exceptional user experiences.
  • Proficiency in React and its libraries/frameworks.
  • Proficiency in writing tests (unit, integration, e2e)
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with Git and version control.
  • A high attention to detail and strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in an Agile environment.
