Job Description
Verisign is seeking a Principal Infrastructure Architect to join its architecture organization. This role involves working with engineering and security teams to develop solutions for capacity planning, OKRs, KPIs, and data modeling. The successful candidate will engage with stakeholders, perform research and lab testing, and present outputs to leadership.

Role involves:
  • Authoring capacity strategy documentation
  • Consulting with leadership on OKRs
  • Designing and implementing KPIs
  • Data modeling and trending
  • Producing capacity metrics and forecasts
  • Analyzing data for senior leadership
  • Constructing data-driven budget plans
  • Identifying process improvement opportunities
  • Adhering to security standards
  • Prototyping and testing new architectures
  • Performing research and authoring business cases
  • Engaging with vendors
  • Reviewing technical design documents
  • Collaborating with other teams
  • Gathering requirements
  • Identifying technical debt
  • Presenting at events
  • Participating in recruiting and mentoring

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • 15+ years of experience in architecture, infrastructure, capacity planning, or related areas
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Experience presenting data-driven recommendations to senior leadership
  • Effective collaboration skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Deep technical knowledge of capacity solutions and tooling
  • Experience with crafting and measuring OKRs and KPIs
  • Self-motivated and driven to produce high-quality products
  • Iterative thinking and ability to deliver incremental implementations
  • Highly adaptable and able to juggle multiple priorities
  • Proven ability to earn trust and execute with limited information
  • Familiarity with enterprise tools such as Service Now, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, GitHub, and PowerPoint
