Job Description
Marqeta is seeking a UK-based Senior Security Engineer to join its Security Operations & Response Team. This role is crucial for enhancing the company's ability to detect and respond to threats. The Senior Security Engineer will report to the Manager of Security Operations and Response and can work remotely or from the London office. Marqeta embraces a Flexible First approach.
The role involves:
- Performing detection engineering and maintaining detection logic.
- Documenting and tracking detection capabilities across data sources.
- Defining and reporting metrics related to detection capabilities.
- Participating in on-call rotations for alert response.
- Responding to cybersecurity incidents.
- Contributing to automation playbooks.
- Participating in threat hunts.
- Reviewing current use cases and detection logic.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in security operations.
- Strong understanding of security concepts and technologies.
- Familiarity with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK.
- Ability to identify opportunities for new threat detection use cases.
- Understanding of AWS and containerization technologies.
- Experience with Terraform.
