Job Description
Marqeta is seeking a Network Software Engineer II to contribute to their team. This role involves owning and delivering projects, identifying solutions to complex problems, and collaborating with team members and cross-functional partners. Marqeta operates with a Flexible First approach, allowing the role to be performed remotely within Ontario and British Columbia, Canada.
The Role Involves:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining network software for Marqeta's products.
- Configuring and installing network devices and services.
- Working on Ethernet, IP, TCP/IP, and UDP/IP protocols.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and ISPs.
- Troubleshooting network issues and providing technical support.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with networking software and device drivers.
- Proficiency in networking concepts and protocols.
- Deep understanding of OSI model layers 1-4.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Go, and Python.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
