Job Description
Taco Bell is seeking a Senior Manager, Global Engineering to manage multiple engineers and lead back of house strategies for over 7,000 restaurants. This role involves developing kitchen equipment, smallwares, and production lines, partnering with various departments to ensure kitchen efficiency and improve the team member experience. The Senior Manager will also lead supplier partnerships, manage daily crises, and set brand standards.
Role Involves:
- Coaching, developing, and growing an engineering team.
- Designing and delivering new strategic kitchen equipment.
- Leading initiatives related to back-of-house kitchen equipment.
- Providing input into Taco Bell’s strategic planning process.
- Driving external partnerships for kitchen innovation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience.
- 5+ years’ experience coaching and leading technical teams.
- Experience in restaurant/retail operations, or engineering/mechanical, food processing or automation preferred.
- Excellent executive presence and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Ability to lead external vendors and cross brand partnerships.
- Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize time.
- Strong knowledge of continuous process improvement.
- Experience with data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, CAD, SOLIDWORKS).
- Ability to travel domestically 10-30% of the time.
