ATS, founded in 1985, is a company with a presence in the United States, Mexico, and the United Kingdom. They specialize in industrial maintenance, ensuring factories operate efficiently. They are seeking an Inventory Management Specialist to manage the scheduling, planning, movement, and repair of materials.This role involves intermediate-level activities, requiring independent judgment in service parts planning, purchasing, distribution, warehousing, reverse logistics, and repair operations.
Responsibilities: - Oversees inventory integrity and restocking.
- Processes repairs, manages stock, and delivers parts to technicians.
- Controls inventory within budget, proposes stock level changes, and analyzes records.
- Processes requisitions, monitors stock, and expedites orders.
- Maintains cross-reference systems and tracks nonconforming parts.
- Collaborates with department managers to stay within budget.
- Assists with inventory problem resolution and participates in physical inventories.
- Participates in training for purchasing and management skills.
- Sources and evaluates vendors for plant-level services.
- Supports purchasing with research on difficult-to-find parts.
- Recommends reduction/transfer of slow-moving inventory.
- Follows up on past due orders and reduces POE/invoice issues.
- Maintains a cost reduction program.
- Assists Customer Service and Operations with system transactions.
- Places warranty claims for defective parts.
- Confers with managers on task status.
- Prepares performance data and ensures ISO conformance.
- May create/administer work schedules via a computerized system.
- Participates in Service/Quality Initiatives and adheres to safety procedures.
Requirements: - Associate's degree or equivalent, plus three years of related experience, or five years equivalent experience.
- Ability to read, write, and present information effectively.
- Proficiency in basic math and data interpretation.
- Common sense understanding for problem-solving.
- Team player, organized, self-motivated, and able to prioritize.
- Excellent communication skills.
