Search - Design Lead

Elastic, the Search AI Company, is seeking a Director of UX to lead its search experience and UX team. The company's search solution is built on the ELK Stack and helps improve the performance, security, and reliability of products and services. This role offers the opportunity to drive impact and shape the product experience.

Responsibilities:

• Apply design, research, product, and technical know-how to lead a vision-led product experience
• Collaborate with product management and engineering to plan and deliver user experiences
• Drive business objectives and improve user metrics
• Nurture team learning and growth through mentorship and development activities
• Improve collaboration and ways-of-working across search teams
• Manage multiple priorities and provide impactful focus for the team
• Work closely with UX research and writing teams
• Partner with the platform team and support the design system
• Work with UX leadership to grow the overall UX organization
• Build relationships across the business to assure connectedness to the big picture

Requirements:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Previous hands-on experience as a designer, researcher, or similar UX craft
• Proven track record of driving a vision and strategy
• Experienced manager of designers with 5+ years of direct-line people management
• Experience conducting user research and working with AB tests and analytics tools
• Familiarity with Figma and other design tools
• Passion for learning and self-development
• Organized self-starter with strong communication skills
• Previous experience working in a remote environment
