Senior Software Engineer I (backend) - Integrations Team

Job Description

SurveyMonkey is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Integrations & Connect engineering team in India. This role involves building and maintaining enterprise integration services, owning new features from conception to deployment, and ensuring system observability. The engineer will participate in code reviews, address performance issues, and mentor other engineers.Responsibilities:

• Building and maintaining enterprise integration services across multiple data-regions.
• Owning new features, including technical specs and code.
• Building observable systems to track metrics.
• Participating in code reviews.
• Investigating and addressing performance issues.
• Mentoring other engineers.

Requirements:

• 5 to 8+ years of experience with backend web application development and integrations.
• Experience with Python and frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, Pyramid.
• Expertise in designing and building services and APIs.
• Proficiency in writing SQL queries and designing schemas for relational databases (MSSQL or MySQL).
• Experience with code reviews and tech specs.
• Ability to work in agile environments.
• Practices automated testing and enforces good code quality.
• Excellent communication skills.
