Senior Software Engineer II (backend) - Integrations Team

SurveyMonkey is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Integrations & Connect engineering team in Bengaluru, India. The ideal candidate will be passionate about solving challenging technical problems and collaborating with product owners and customers to build the best solutions for users. What this role involves:

• Building and maintaining enterprise integration services across multiple data-regions.
• Taking ownership of new features, including technical specs and writing code.
• Building observable systems to track metrics and provide notifications.
• Participating in code reviews.
• Investigating and addressing performance, scalability, and maintainability issues.
• Mentoring and guiding other engineers.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience with backend web application development and integrations.
• Experience with Python and frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, Pyramid.
• Expertise in designing and building services and APIs.
• Proficiency in writing SQL queries and designing schemas for relational databases (MSSQL or MySQL experience is a plus).
• Experience with code reviews and writing tech specs.
• Ability to work in agile environments with frequent deployments.
• Experience with automated testing and good code quality practices.
• Excellent communication skills.

This role is hybrid and requires you to work from the SurveyMonkey office in Bengaluru 3 days per week.
