Job Description
Twilio is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join their EMEA team. This role is remote and based in the UK. The Solutions Engineer will be a technical expert and relationship builder, working with Account Executives to drive business and technical wins with customers.
The Solutions Engineer will work alongside Twilio's New Business Account Executives, other Solutions Engineers, Professional Services, and Twilio Partners throughout the pre-sales process. They will focus on business discovery within prospects and communicate the business value of Twilio solutions.
Responsibilities include:
- Strategizing and planning for deal success.
- Building business partnerships with Account Executives.
- Participating in qualification, discovery, demonstrations, Proof-of-Concept, RFP response, design documentation, technical presentations, and enablement sessions.
- Developing subject matter expertise on customer needs and Twilio's technology.
- Leading technical discovery sessions.
- Building and presenting presentations and product demos.
- Building trusted advisor relationships with customers.
- Contributing to the Twilio Solutions Engineer community.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years in a technical pre-sales role in CPaaS, SaaS, or Telecom.
- Solid understanding of the sales cycle.
- Solid understanding of voice protocols (VoIP), SIP implementations, or messaging APIs.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate.
- Engaging storytelling and communication skills.
- Ability to understand customer needs and guide them to technical solutions.
- Knowledge of public cloud platforms and cloud application architectures.
- Experience writing code in one or more areas (Backend, Web).
- Experience with designing and consuming REST APIs.
