Job Description
BTIG is seeking an Equity Research Associate to support a Senior Analyst in the Healthcare sector, focusing on Biotechnology. The Associate will conduct primary research, including financial analysis and due diligence on industry trends, company management, and strategies. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, highly motivated, and hard-working.
Role involves:
- Preparing financial models for analysis and company updates.
- Keeping senior analysts informed of daily news flow.
- Conducting industry and company-specific research through surveys and interviews.
- Assisting in writing comprehensive research reports.
- Maintaining relationships with company management, industry contacts, and investors.
Requirements:
- PhD or MD is welcome but not required.
- 1-3 years of experience in investment banking or equity research preferred.
- Strong work ethic and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to create and maintain financial models.
- Demonstrated interest in Biotechnology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Series SIE, 63, 86 & 87 licensing preferred.
