Sotheby's, a premier destination for art and luxury established in 1744, is seeking a Global Social Media Manager, Luxury. This role demands expertise in the social media landscape, delivering on social strategy for global Luxury sales and activations across Sotheby’s channels. The manager will also oversee five dedicated luxury Instagram accounts focusing on Jewelry, Watches, Style, Sports, and Wine & Spirits.He/she will work closely with Luxury Marketing, Press, and Specialist departments to showcase objects. The ideal candidate is a natural storyteller who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is always looking for the best way to tell it.Responsibilities:
  • Deliver creative social-first content to increase followers, reach, and engagement.
  • Identify efficient ways to reach potential luxury buyers on various platforms.
  • Establish and develop a narrative around the business impact of critical metrics.
  • Identify cultural connections with the brand and outline ways of engaging through social conversations.
  • Maintain cross-functional alignment and clear communication.
  • Explore new channels for Sotheby’s to grow its social media reach.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience managing social media in a luxury sector.
  • Experience working in all major social platforms.
  • Proven track record of engaging social media campaigns.
  • Competent in using social media tools and DAMs.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ease with change and ambiguity.
  • Analytical, curious, and creative.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communicator.
  • Collaborative and able to work cross-functionally.
  • Self-starter who takes responsibility and knows how to problem solve.
  • Experience in luxury, fashion, or art industries is a plus.
