Sotheby's is seeking a Proposals Writer to join their team in London. The Proposals Writer will work closely with specialists and business development leaders to produce compelling pitch documents for consignment opportunities across various sale categories.
Responsibilities:
Plan, write, and manage the production of proposal documents and pitch materials.
Collaborate with the Proposal Designer and Market Analyst to establish project requirements and deadlines.
Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to craft the marketing narrative for the Proposal.
Manage the draft review process among multiple stakeholders.
Coordinate and oversee all aspects of proposal production and delivery.
Maintain and improve team systems and resource libraries.
Assist with proofreading and support other team members on urgent projects.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree, with a preference for English, History or Art History majors
Three years of relevant experience (ie. journalism, publishing, business development)
Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
Strong leadership and project management skills
Ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines
Meticulous attention to detail and follow-up skills
Highly motivated, proactive
Team-oriented, collaborative
Knowledge of Adobe InDesign a plus
An understanding of the auction industry and a strong interest in the art market are highly advantageous
