Community Specialist, India (Contract)

Job Description

Reddit is seeking a Community Specialist in India to join its International Community team. This role focuses on building relationships with moderators, raising awareness of key programs, and delivering on-platform engagement to nurture community growth. The Community Specialist will empower local moderators, bridge the gap between users and mods, and drive engagement initiatives.Reddit is a community of communities, built on shared interests, passion, and trust. It is home to open and authentic conversations. With over 100,000 active communities and approximately 101M+ daily active unique visitors, Reddit is one of the internet’s largest sources of information.Responsibilities:

• Build strong relationships with local volunteer moderators.
• Develop and execute community activation playbook in Singapore.
• Plan and host engaging on- and off-platform events.
• Develop a game plan to build a robust network of community creators.
• Launch targeted initiatives to engage locally relevant demographics.
• Provide insights on the local moderator landscape and sentiment.
• Create communication plans that highlight programs and initiatives.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience in community management.
• Strong understanding of Indian culture.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Creative mindset and a love for testing new ideas.
• Proficiency in English and other regional languages, based in the India timezone.
