Reddit is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to join their Consumer team. This role is crucial in shaping product strategy through data-driven insights and experimentation. The Staff Data Scientist will work closely with product, engineering, and design teams to enhance user engagement and retention.Reddit is a community of communities. Responsibilities: - Help build the long term product strategy
- Influence strategic roadmaps through data-driven insights
- Design metrics to evaluate business health and product success
- Drive experimentation from design through execution and analysis
- Build self-serve tools for product and engineering partners
- Work cross functionally with product, engineering, and design teams
- Scale your work to other parts of the data organization
Requirements: - Ph.D., M.S. or Bachelors degree in Statistics, Machine Learning, Economics, Computer Science, or other quantitative fields
- Expert knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- Familiarity with statistical analysis and R / Python
- Demonstrated ability to influence and guide product strategy with data
- Demonstrated ability to solve ambiguous problems in a structured way
- Familiarity with causal inference techniques and causal models
- Excellent communication and experience working with senior leaders / stakeholders
