Job Description
Reddit is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Deployment Infrastructure team. In this role, the engineer will focus on creating robust, automated deployment systems that balance reliability and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong software engineering background and experience with Kubernetes and continuous delivery tools.Reddit is a community-driven platform with over 100,000 active communities and millions of daily active users. The Deployment Infrastructure team plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and reliable deployment of services globally.
Responsibilities: - Collaborate with a team of software engineers to build and deploy software for orchestrating complex deployment workflows.
- Progressively roll out services globally.
- Achieve automated rollback of failed deployments.
- Provide insight and monitoring around the health of deployments.
- Work with end-users to establish requirements and designs.
- Integrate open-source technologies and contribute to them.
- Build end-user tooling, such as CLI utilities in Go.
- Share on-call responsibilities with the deployment infrastructure team.
Requirements: - 5+ years of experience working in the infrastructure and/or deployment domain.
- Language proficiency in either Go (Preferred), Rust, or Python.
- Experience developing on top of Kubernetes or similar distributed systems.
- Experience utilizing systems in the continuous delivery domain such as Argo, Flux, Temporal, and similar systems.
- Strong troubleshooting competency.
- Experience designing large systems, scoping work, and building consensus with other engineers.
- Excellent communication skills.
