Research Engineer

Job Description

Kunumi is seeking a Research Engineer in Brazil to transform cutting-edge research into real-world, robust, and scalable artificial intelligence applications. The Research Engineer will accelerate the scientific-technological development cycle, reducing the time between hypothesis formulation and practical validation of solutions with real-world impact. This role involves translating research hypotheses into functional prototypes, authoring scientific publications, developing infrastructure for scientific experimentation, optimizing model performance and efficiency, connecting theory and application, collaborating with multiple Kunumi teams, and promoting continuous improvement of the technical base.

Role Involves:

• Translating research hypotheses into functional prototypes.

Requirements:

• Solid experience with Python programming and frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Practical knowledge of mathematical foundations applied to AI.
• Mastery of machine learning and deep learning algorithms.
• Experience with distributed systems and large-scale data pipelines.
• Familiarity with version control (Git), code testing, and modern software engineering practices.
• Ability to work in collaboration with researchers and multidisciplinary teams.
