PhonePe Group is seeking an Area Sales Manager to drive merchant acquisition and servicing in Roorkee. The Area Sales Manager will lead a team of 8-10 Business Development Executives, focusing on expanding PhonePe's presence in the offline market. This role involves driving business growth, ensuring brand visibility, and managing the sales team to achieve targets.
  • Grow merchant network through acquisition and servicing.
  • Drive quality in execution through audits and reviews.
  • Monitor competition and provide market insights.
  • Ensure payout closure and NOC from BDEs and FLs/TLs.
  • Ensure brand visibility in assigned territory.
  • Participate in promotional events.
  • Facilitate hiring and training of BDEs/TLs.
  • Monitor KPIs and coach team members.
  • Motivate the team with regular communication about schemes and incentives.
  • MBA from Tier 2/3 campus with good academic record.
  • 2-4 years of experience in sales managing a sales team.
  • Experience in Telecom, FMCG, or Retail (B2C preferred).
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Field sales experience with a proven track record.
  • Problem-solving abilities and a strong bias for impact.
  • Strong ethics and discretion.
  • Drive for results and ability to quantify success.
